Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 10, 2025

Who we are: ContextProof LLC (“ContextProof,” “we,” “our,” or “us”)

Website: contextproof.com (the “Site”)

Contact: hello@contextproof.com • 7901 4th St N STE 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our Site, subscribe to our content, contact us, or engage our services (collectively, the “Services”).

If you are a customer’s end user: we process your data as a processor / service provider to our client (the “Client”). The Client’s privacy policy and instructions govern. We also act as a controller for Site visitors and our own business operations.

1) Information We Collect

  • Identifiers & Contact Data: name, email, phone, company, job title, billing details.

  • Commercial & Account Info: service history, proposals, invoices, communications.

  • Internet/Device Data: IP address, device IDs, pages viewed, session data, referral URLs, approximate location (city/region), and similar analytics.

  • User Content: messages you send us, files you upload, forms you complete.

  • Inferences: interest segments or likelihood to engage (from analytics/ads platforms).

  • Client-Provided Data: when delivering Services, we may process Client datasets, public facts, and content you ask us to analyze or publish.

We collect information directly from you, automatically via cookies/SDKs, and from third parties (e.g., analytics providers, advertising platforms, publicly available sources, and Clients).

2) How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and secure the Site and Services.

  • Respond to inquiries; send administrative and marketing communications (you can opt out).

  • Deliver reports and recommendations; measure “share of answer/citations”; improve quality.

  • Personalize content; perform analytics and attribution; debug and prevent fraud.

  • Enforce terms, comply with law, and protect rights, safety, and property.

AI note. We may use AI tools to assist with analysis and drafting. Unless a Client instructs otherwise in a written agreement, we do not intentionally use Client Content to retrain foundation models; we may use de-identified aggregates (e.g., usage stats) to improve our Services.

3) Cookies, Analytics & Ads

We and our partners may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and (where used) interest-based advertising/retargeting. You can control cookies in your browser and opt out of interest-based ads at the DAA/NAI tools:

  • AboutAds opt-out: https://optout.aboutads.info

  • NAI opt-out: https://optout.networkadvertising.org

  • Your device settings for mobile ad IDs.

“Do Not Track” signals are not consistently honored by industry; we treat them as opt-out where technically feasible.

4) Disclosing Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Vendors/Processors: hosting, analytics, email, payment, security, and professional services—bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.

  • Clients: if you interact with us in connection with a Client’s project.

  • Business transfers: merger, financing, or sale of assets (with successor obligations).

  • Legal/Compliance: to comply with law or protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal information. We may “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (as defined by some U.S. state laws) only if we deploy ad pixels; you can opt out (see Section 8).

5) Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes above, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, then delete or de-identify it.

6) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure; transmission of data is at your own risk.

7) Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect such data. If you believe we have, contact us to delete it.

8) Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access/Know, Correct, Delete, Portability, and Opt-out of targeted advertising, profiling, or the “sharing” of personal data.

  • Limit Use of Sensitive Data (where applicable).

  • Appeal a decision if we decline your request.

Exercise rights or submit an authorized-agent request by emailing hello@contextproof.com. We will verify your identity and respond as required by law.

California (CPRA). We do not sell personal information. If we engage in “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, you may opt out by emailing us with subject “CPRA Opt-Out” and adjusting cookie/ad settings. We will honor browser-based opt-out signals where required.

EEA/UK/Swiss (GDPR). ContextProof LLC is the controller for Site interactions. Legal bases include contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligation. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for cross-border transfers where applicable.

9) International Transfers

We are U.S.-based. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs) for transfers outside your region.

10) Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party sites/services. Their practices are governed by their own policies.

11) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. The “Effective Date” shows the latest version. Material changes will be posted on the Site.
